Recorded on the 15th of May 2005 near Kolarovo village (15 km to the south of Tomsk) (mixed woodland; at 56°21N, 84°56E). Background species: Fringilla coelebs.
Common in our latitudes all the year round. Nomadic after the breeding season.
Breeds preferably in thin taiga forests in damp peaty terrain, and in regenerating cleared forest areas. Common and region-wide.
Its sound can be heard at any time of the year, in the city mostly from November until the end of April.
