Recorded on the 9th of May 2002 near Kolarovo village (15 km to the south of Tomsk) (mixed woodland; at 56°21N, 84°56E). Background species: Turdus iliacus, Phylloscopus trochilus, Anthus trivialis.

Arrives before the end of the thaw period. In Tomsk area appears mostly in the second half of April.

Inhabits various types of open forests with well-developed undergrowth. Common and region-wide.

The period of mass singing lasts from arrival until June. A few birds can be heard until mid-July.
