Recorded on the 16th of May 2004 near Kolarovo village (15 km to the south of Tomsk), (mixed woodland; at 56°21N, 84°56E). Background species: Fringilla coelebs, Sylvia curruca, Picus canus.

Arrives after the thaw period and before the foliage expansion. In Tomsk and its outskirts appears in the second half of April.

Breeds in woodland of all types, gardens and parks in settlements. Abundant in woodland. Distributed over the whole region.

Sings from arrival until almost the autumn.
