Recorded on the 29th of May 2005 in the south of Tomsk (deciduous forest; at 56°25N, 84°58E). Background species: Phylloscopus trochilus, Parus major, Corvus cornix.

Arrives at the end of the snow melting period. In Tomsk outskirts can be seen mostly from early May.

Inhabits open deciduous and coniferous forest of various types. Occupies willingly artificial nests in city parks and copses. Common and region-wide.

Sings from May until June or mid-July.
