Recorded on the 23d of June 2004 in the south of Tomsk (sedge along the river; at 5625N, 8458E). Background species: Phylloscopus trochilus, Motacilla flava, Motacilla alba.

Arrives at the beginning of summer. In Tomsk and its outskirts appears in mid-June.

Prefers soggy grassland, thick river- and lakeside vegetation (reeds, rushes) after spring flood, grassy bog margins. Common and region-wide.

Sings from June until its departure at the end of August - early September.
