Occurs in our latitude all the year round, resident-nomadic species. Bird of woodlands and pastures. Inhabits deciduous scrub and bushy areas along watercourses, soggy overgrown lake and river shores, shrubby moors. Common and region-wide. Less common in the north of the region. Sings briefly in the pre-breeding season, in April-May. The call and the sound of the wings (when they fly overhead) are more often heard than their songs. |
