Recorded on the 28th of May 2004 at 15 near Kolarovo village (15 km to the south of Tomsk) (mixed woodland; at 56°21N, 84°56E). Background species: Ficedula hypoleuca, Phylloscopus trochilus.

Arrives when the trees are fully in leaves. In Tomsk and its outskirts appears in the final third of May.

Breeds in deciduous woods with clearings, in groves, overgrown parks and gardens with rich undergrowth. Often in copses along rivers. Common, sometimes abundant. Distributed in the whole region.

Sings from mid-May until early or mid-July.
