Recorded on the 5th of April 2004 in the east of Tomsk (deciduous forest; at 56°31N, 85°00E). Call recorded on the 28th of March 2005 in the north of Tomsk (pine forest; 56°34N, 84°55E). Background species: Parus major, Pyrrhula pyrrhula, Pica pica, Turdus pilaris, Dendrocopos major; Sitta europaea. |
Common in our latitudes all the year round. May be seen at bird tables in parks in winter, together with Blue Tit. Inhabits all types of forests. Common and region-wide. Sings from January-February until the end of June. |
